“The Scenery is Never Monotonous (2020),” is a mini installation in the west village inside one of the windows of Art in Building’s properties. I created a fictional terrarium modeled after plants invasive to New York that were brought to the US from different east and south east Asian countries in the early 1900s as ornamental additions. On one unannounced evening, I performed in the window as a still presence observing those who walked past.
